New Medem Service to Help Increase Office Efficiency

APA is now providing a solution to those psychiatrists whose staff spend a lot of time making phone calls or sending postcards to remind patients of their appointments.
Last year APA made the “Your Practice Online” physician Web site service and its Medex Secure Messaging feature available to members through its partnership with Medem. Now Medem is introducing a new appointment-reminder feature for Medex. Not only can existing patients (who have been approved for messaging by the psychiatrist’s practice) request appointments online, but also the office can send customized, automated reminders to patients.
APA members who do not already have a Medem Web site should visit www.yourpracticeonline.com for more information about this member benefit. Additional help is available by sending an e-mail to [email protected].
